Andrej Popovic has over 25 years of experience developing complex software solutions for critical business functions including digital asset management, accounting, sales and order processing and nearly a decade as a cyber security practitioner.
Andrej studied Mathematical Engineering, Technical Cybernetics, he also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Information Security and Digital Forensics from The Open University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Cyber Security and Human factors from Bournemouth University.
After participating in the UK Cyber Security Challenge, Andrej was invited by the SANS Institute to apply for a place at the SANS UK Cyber Academy 2015. After a selection process which involved around 25,000 applicants, Andrej became of of the 30 students at the SANS UK Cyber Academy 2015 residential school in Cardiff and graduated with a top 5 score and three cyber security professional certifications:
- GCFE – GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner
- GCIH – GIAC Certified Incident Handler
- GSEC – GIAC Security Essentials Certification
Andrej is also a member of the GIAC (Global Information Assurance Certification) Advisory Board and a member of the Institute of Information Security Professionals.
