Andrej Popovic has over 25 years of experience in designing information systems, writing code and developing complex software solutions for critical business functions including digital asset management, accounting, sales and order processing.
Although Andrej originally studied for undergraduate degrees in Mathematical Engineering and Technical Cybernetics, he also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Information Security and Digital Forensics from the Open University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Cyber Security and Human factors from Bournemouth University.
SANS UK Cyber Academy 2015 – graduation
After participating in the UK Cyber Security Challenge, Andrej was invited by one of the sponsors, the SANS Institute, to apply for a place at the SANS UK Cyber Academy. After succeeding in a selection process which involved around 25,000 applicants, Andrej was chosen to be one of the 30 students at the SANS UK Cyber Academy 2015 residential school in Cardiff and in October 2015 graduated with a top 5 score and three cyber security professional certifications:
Andrej is also a member of the GIAC (Global Information Assurance Certification) Advisory Board and a member of the Institute of Information Security Professionals.
